About

Todd Loveday is a Florida native and grew up in the North City of St. Augustine. Todd spent most of his days after school and on weekends playing in and around the coastal marshes near his childhood home. He gained his passion for fishing with his father who was an avid fisherman fishing both freshwater and saltwater, inshore and offshore of St. Augustine.

As a kid Todd spent most of his time camping and fishing in these areas as well as fishing with his father. As Todd became an adult he never lost his passion for fishing the local waters of St. Augustine, frequently participating in local fishing tournaments and planning trips with friends and family members.

Todd gained his customer service skills by working in the Pest Control industry for over 37 years of his adult life. He managed 40+ employees while providing services to over 20,000 customers. For over 10 years Todd also performed rod and reel repairs for local tackle stores which lead to making custom fishing rods. This fun side business is what inspired the name: Todd’s Rods.

Todd decided to pursue his passion in fishing and wants to share his knowledge and passion with those who want to see St. Augustine through his eyes. He would be honored to have you spend the day with him, targeting the many species of fish in and around the beautiful city of St. Augustine. Todd Loveday is a licensed boat captain and has over 40 years of boating and fishing experience in the St. Augustine area.

Todd’s Rods Mission

Our mission at Todd’s Rods is to offer an experience on the water in and around historic St. Augustine, FL. St. Augustine is a very special place, unlike any other around the world. The tidal flow that we experience twice per day fills the back creeks with salt water from the ocean and then expels small fish, crabs and living organisms that offer an amazing ecosystem for birds, turtles, fish and manatees. We see this on a regular basis and try not to take it for granted what we witness on every outing. We have an ecosystem like no other place matched up with the Oldest City in the nation making this a very special experience.
